Augustana has a rich history of international programming with approximately 1 in 5 of its students graduating with an international experience. On the Wednesday of FoT, Augustana will be hosting a panel discussion on the topic of international learning moderated by Augustana Dean, Allen Berger. The discussion will encompass the views and experiences of both faculty involved with delivering Augustana's international programs and students who have experienced them.
The two faculty members on the panel are Doris Audet (Associate Professor of Biology) and Karsten Mündel (Director of Learning and Beyond). They have each hand-picked a student to participate on the panel. Kasondra Hebert will have just returned from an undergraduate research experience with Dr. Audet on the Osa Penninsula of Costa Rica where they were studying bats. Leah Johnson was a student in Augustana's Cuba exchange program which is administered by Prof Mündel's LaB office.
The Augustana Panel will be streamed live on the Festival of Teaching website (www.fot.ualberta.ca), for those who are unable to attend in person.
